The Undergraduate Study Programme of FH Undip held a Curriculum Workshop with the theme Curriculum Renewal Towards the 2024 National Curriculum Based on Outcome-Base Education (OBE). This event was attended by 64 participants consisting of the Head of the Section and lecturer representatives in their section. This workshop was held on Wednesday, 29 May 2024 at the Musi Meeting Room Hotel Aruss 3rd Floor.
This workshop was held in response to Permendikbudristek No. 53 of 2023 which regulates the study period and the number of credits, and to prepare a new curriculum that is more relevant to the needs of the times. Dr Aditya Yuli Sulistyawan, S.H., M.H., Head of the Undergraduate Law Study Programme, explained that this event was a forum to discuss and develop an OBE-based curriculum together. “This workshop can be a forum to discuss together related to the curriculum with Outcome-Based Education (OBE),” said Dr Aditya.
In her speech, Prof. Dr. Retno Saraswati, S.H., M.Hum., Dean of Undip Faculty of Law, emphasized the importance of evaluation and innovation in the existing curriculum. “We have long implemented case studies. Let us also evaluate our curriculum. Are there any changes or new innovations that are adapted to the times in the current digitalization era,” said Prof. Retno. She also hoped that input from users and alumni in this workshop would be very valuable for the development of an OBE-based curriculum. “Hopefully in the future, we can produce quality cadres and our graduates can be ready to work,” she added.
The event continued with a material presentation and discussion regarding the 2024 Undergraduate Law Study Programme Curriculum led by the Head of the Undergraduate Law Study Programme. The last session of this workshop was the presentation of material and discussion of the workshop with the theme “Getting to Know the OBE-Based Curriculum as the Implementation of Permendikbudristek No. 53 of 2023” by Prof. Dr. Nat. Tech. Siswo Sumardiono, S.T., M.T. with moderator Dr. Sekar Anggun Gading Pinilih, S.H., M.H. “OBE characteristics can be seen from the learning outcomes,” added Prof Siswo.
